from the beach. Sob. I could have stayed. Maysen cried to stay. She was my sweet little beach baby. I must admit, I was a bit apprehensive about this trip. Our last year's beach trip was a kinda stressful for this mama. Okay, it was a lot stressful. We actually left a day early. The difference between this year and last year was unbelievable! We all had such a great time. M was in the pool for as long as we'd let her. And the ocean... oh my! Girlfriend loved the ocean.
My first night of shooting, I took the gang along with me... Whit, Steve and M. I decided to go ahead and get Miss M all froo froo'd up for her beach shots and just go ahead and get that out of the way. I got her all dressed with the help of the others and started taking shots. She wasn't really into having her picture taken. She was more focused on the shells, the sand and the ocean. I finally gave up. Got a few keepers that I'm happy with. Then, onto my clients. Before I walked away, I gave specific instructions, "do not let Maysen play in the sand." She was clean and dressed up. Easy enough, right? I know you're thinking, what mother doesn't let her child play in the sand, while standing in the sand, while standing in the sand on the beach... SHE WAS CLEAN! I walk away to do my thing and never look back. Well, at least for 15 minutes or so. Then, I look back. She's wet. Steve's wet. But, just a little wet. Nothing major. I'm okay, sorta. I shoot some more, turn around and this is what I see ...

Running at me. Down the beach. Naked baby. My naked baby. Soaking wet. No clothes and happy as a lark! My first thought was I'm going to kill'em, but when I saw her face - I melted. She was having the time of her life! She and Steve both had to go to dinner a little wet, but hey - it's the beach!!
More beach shots to come...
